Ford today previewed the all-new Ford Focus RS, a high-performance road car that debuts the innovative Ford Performance All-Wheel-Drive, delivering class-leading cornering speed, thrilling performance and unbridled driving enjoyment.

The all-new Ford Focus RS will be previewed at a special presentation in Cologne, Germany, at 13:45 CET on Feb. 3. The preview takes place at a unique venue in Ford’s European HQ, and where the RS badge first debuted 48 years ago. In addition to showcasing the third generation of Ford’s Focus RS performance hatchback, the event also will highlight the innovation and technological advances which have become a hallmark of the RS story over the years.

Ford of Europe – which last year recorded its highest full-year market share since 2011 on strong demand for its new models – said 2015 will be one of the busiest years for new product in the company’s history.

Ford’s vehicle sales in its 20 traditional European markets increased by 7.1 percent from January through November, in an industry that grew 5.7 percent. Year-to-date, Ford has sold 1,075,000 vehicles, achieving a market share of 8.0 percent, up 0.1 percentage point over the same period last year. November sales were 84,500, just 200 units lower than November last year, leading to a market share of 7.5 percent, down by 0.1 percentage point.

The new Focus ST makes its global debut today at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, U.K. – the ideal location to showcase the speed and enhanced driving dynamics of the global performance car.
